For the past seven years, the members of Tallahassee, Florida's Mayday Parade - Derek Sanders (Vocalist), Jeremy Lenzo (Bassist), Alex Garcia (Guitarist), Brooks Betts (Guitarist), and Jake Bundrick (Drummer) - have been perfecting their unique brand of pop punk rock, a process that has earned them fans globally since their formation.
Mayday Parade formed in the winter of 2005 when two local Tallahassee bands, Defining Moment and Kid Named Chicago, decided to merge. The still unknown collection of Derek Sanders, Alex Garcia, Jake Bundrick, Jeremy Lenzo, Brooks Betts, and Jason Lancaster entered the studio with producer Lee Dyess and took under a week to finish their debut EP, "Tales Told by Dead Friends." It became clear that more touring was in the future for the undiscovered Mayday Parade. After finishing the EP and selling over 10,000 copies while following the 2006 Vans Warped Tour, Mayday Parade's hard work and dedication was finally rewarded in the fall of 2006 when the band signed with California company, Fearless Records. Debuting at #8 on the Billboard Heatseeker's Chart with a chart position for 70 consecutive weeks, the band's debut full-length A Lesson In Romantics (2007) set the path for their success. Selling over 600,000 albums and 3,000,000 tracks worldwide, the band's discography also includes Anywhere But Here (2009), followed by their self-titled album (2011), which debuted at #12 on the Billboard Top 200. Followed by their newest release, Monsters In The Closet (2013).
